Local police force officers in Orihuela found approximately 30 kilos of hashish hidden between rocks located between the coastal urbanisations of Playa Flamenco and Punta Prima.
Officers received a tip-off from a resident who had found a suspicious looking package hidden behind the rocks near the beach.
Following an extensive search of the area, officers found the first packet of hashish, which was wrapped in blue plastic and tied with rope behind rocks near the sea. Shortly afterwards they found a further three packages and after opening them they found that they all contained the same thing, hashish, a total of 30 kilos.
The drugs were taken to the Guardia Civil in Torre de la Horadada.
