San Javier Golf Society Captains Day - Mick Hardy

Captain’s day for BoGallard who held the post for 2007 at San Javier. We made the trip down to Hacienda De Alamo for this match in the warm April sun shine. I must also congratulate Bob for the outstanding job he has done over the last year. This year’s format was Stableford for the captain cup. Scoring was very close with Bob coming in with 37pts and followed home by Alan Boggess to take the lead with 38pts which remained until the last group came in and yours truly came in with 39pts to won by the shortest of heads. So the new captain wins the old captains cup let keep it to the captain’s. Bob won the longest drive on the 18th and also a nearest the pin on the 8th hole I think that’s enough for one day. Our next match is at Altorreal on the 23rd April for the Old captain Vs New captain match.
