French Students Enjoy Exchange on Mar Menor

The Mayoress of San Javier, Pepa García, along with representatives for the education council, have welcomed 30 French students to the area, with a special presentation at the Town Hall this week.

The students are on a language exchange with students from the Instituto Mar Menor. The group, all between 15 and 17 years of age, come from the city of Nancy, in the French region of Lorena in the Northeast of France. In order to minimise the chances of any mischief whilst away from home, they have been accompanied by three teachers from their school, and will be boarding in the homes of their Spanish counterparts.

In addition to the language classes, the group will take time to see the delights of the region, including cultural visits to Murcia, Cartagena, Lorca, and the Mar Menor where they will spend a morning visiting the salt flats at San Pedro del Pintar.
