Presenting the new PSOE-candidate for L.A. Mayor

Since September of last year, the Los Alcázares Town Council demonstrated a remarkable activity as far as the leading position of Mayor is concerned. At that date, Juan Escudero Sánchez (PSOE), in his forth term of office and considered a “mayor for ever”, stepped off his post on the ground of preferring to pass into private life and dedicate himself on a larger scale to his family. José Antonio Mártinez Meca took over showing noteworthy zeal and a remarkable decision making. The job would have suited him well, as during his collaboration with Town Hall matters he has given evidence to know his way about in many departments, having occupied a great number of important municipal resorts. However, due to constant pressure and attacks run against him from different directions, last but no least on behalf of the media, he just made it to receive a delegation of British residents before resigning, but remaining in office until 26 May. –
